Freshly shed 2015CBB Merauke
My little baby merauke finally decided to shed for the first time since being born a little over a month ago. I had no idea the newborn shedding cycle was so different with meraukes as opposed to northerns, I was starting to get worried! She's doing just awesome though, eating like a little pig and just gorgeous.
Anyway, here she is. Love this little miracle.

Re: Freshly shed 2015CBB Merauke
Thanks! It was a really great feeling to have actually been able to produce even this one. I've been calling her Mira, short for miracle. I bred the parents over the fall and really really didn't expect to see anything come of the breeding since these bts are so notoriously hard to breed but come last week of February there she was. And ended up being the only baby in the litter, after she came my female delivered over the course of a week or so 10 large slugs. Plus she was born without a yolk sac. Just one of those instant love sorta things and it really was a little miracle.
Now my fingers are crossed she really IS a female as I'm pretty sure a male won't like the name Mira much.

Mira is a great name, it's sad that there was so many slugs but happy at least she made it through it all, i love the pattern on her underbelly aswell and that little tint on the bottom of her neck.

That clean, vibrant pattern is to die for. She's also got a cute unique scale pattern on her nose, truly one of a kind lil bub! You're so lucky.
