Feels like Skink has loose scales.
So there is no way to visibly see this but a couple parts of my skinks body if i rub against the grain (tail to head) i feel a couple loose scales or something, it feels as if part of some scales are connected at one end but not at the other end so my finger gets caught on it, im wondering if this is an issue that i need to change something to fix or what exactly but i presume this isn't normal.

Too dry maybe? Just a thought, my Northern gets a bit dry in winter months when heat is on in my apartment, I gave her a larger water bowl and spray her cork bark log once in a while and it seems to have gotten better. I'm afraid to give her too much humidity, but I felt a little roughness on her belly scales.

Something with my northerns. Their belly scales were getting rough. I gave them a humid hide and that solved it. They are silky smooth now and very rarely I have to help them with their sheds.

Assuming you have experienced a reptile shed... maybe a bit too dry.

Ok thanks will go under the assumption that is is dry scales for now, have a very large water bowl in his enclosure already but going to start to spray his enclosure down with some light mist to help with humidity, how do you make a humid hide exactly ive heard it mentioned a few times but not sure how to make it and what to put in it, and the little fella has shed, most recently he shed 23/02/2015(Expecting another shed in about a week).
Edit: Ok so i know i need to use moss but which types of mosses and where can i get them, would i be able to pick them up at say Bunnings or something.

Yeah i have an Eastern i will take a few pictures in a couple minutes.
He feels really soft his scales don't feel dry or anything but it feels like he has loose scales, like at one end they are connected to him but at the other end they aren't, as if he has been cut or something without any visible signs or damage or any sharp things to be cut on
