Growth rate
How fast do Easterns grow? Ours is 18cm long and he's just over 5 weeks old. Can't wait to see him at full size. How long does that take? We feed him daily, alternating 1 teaspoon and half a teaspoon.

Re: Growth rate
Will vary from each one but my Easterns growth rate has been:
11/1/2015(4 days old) - 15cm
7/2/2015(4 weeks old) - 20cm
2/3/2015(8 weeks old) - 24cm
Seems to be growing at a steady 4-5CM per month so far.
Full growth takes about a year give or take a couple months either way im pretty sure.

Re: Growth rate
Oh no, why is Titus behind.
Hope he catches up. They reach full size within a year, really? Seems really fast for an animal with a 20+ year lifespan heh.

Re: Growth rate
I think they might have growth spurts im not sure so maybe mine has had one and yours hasn't if they are able to that is, i think it was roughly a year would need somebody else to confirm it and maybe your Titus will end up being bigger then my Louie down the road, you should post a picture of the little fella when you get a chance always love to see pictures of bluies.

Re: Growth rate
I keep northens and have been tracking their growth since babies. As of now that they are almost nine months they range between 286-517 grams. They are all within 10 days apart in age. My smallest is hitting its growth spurt now. In January she was 220 grams now 286 grams. Two from the same litter are 321 grams and 415 grams as of now.

Re: Growth rate
Looks to be healthy, i grabbed a electric scale from Kmart for about $13 to track my fellows weight.
Heres the only picture i have from when he was roughly 5 weeks old for comparison,
They sure can be cheeky things huh, but they make up for it by being cute.
