You and your BTS :)

I'm curious about what other people do to interact with their Blue Tongue Skinks. I personally let her wander around my house supervised and sometimes make her obstacle courses to keep her active and interested. I'll put things for her to crawl through, hide under, climb over etc. She seems to enjoy it since they are known to be quite curious and interactive. Sometimes she'll snuggle with me in my bed when she's sleepy and not in the mood to explore. So what do other people do with their Blueys? I'm interested to find out

My floor isn't a very safe place for a lizard because there are always so many people wandering around, but I'll let my bluey wander around a sectioned off area sometimes. Obstacle courses included! But Calcifer's favorite thing to do when he's out is dig through piles of laundry and blankets. He'll poke his head out, sit for a minute, then turn around and wander back into the blankets to find a new place to poke his head out. (He's still young, so maybe it's age, but I've found that Calcifer isn't a very lazy lizard and refuses to stay still for long.)

That's cute. My BTS is pretty young too, she's about 14 inches and weighs about 205 grams. She is pretty active, but will occasionally find somewhere to just hang out. Most of the time she's just curious about everything around her.

When mines bigger i plan to section off some of the backyard for him to explore during the day but for now i take him out and let him explore on my bed and crawl through my blankets and such or i wrap him in a towel and sit down with him and he eventually finds an exit and just sits there with his head poking out.

Mine love to play in blankets and soft things, when they hang on the couch with me watching TV, especially my Northern, goes under my pillow and sticks her head out. Must have taken a thousand pictures, that just never stops being cute!

Right now it's mostly letting her crawl all over me and my bed. In the summer she will be allowed to go supervised in my yard. She loves when I hold her in a towel and for about 5 minutes I rub her from head to toe and then I peek in the folded towel and she is asleep. She loves all the stuffed animals on my bed and goes under them sometimes and will lay down and especially and loves crawling into my pillow shams and then into my pillow cases on the pillows. She loves exploring at 3 1/2 months old.

I know I'm being a downer but be really careful of local raptors. They can dive a lot faster than you can react, regardless of how fast you think you are!

Raptors wen't extinct in my area officially 13 years ago, at the end of the great raptor war which had waged on for 27 years when raptors were declared to be crimes against humanity and the militias formed to hunt them down.

Does anybody elses slink have an obsession with crawling onto your shoulder to perch on your shoulder/neck and sometimes walk between shoulders to sit there. Everytime i put the bluie down on my tummy as i sit down to watch TV or something he goes right for the shoulder, and he is nice enough that if im laying on the bed relaxing he likes to walk over my face.
