WC or CB?

So I talked to a lady at a reptile expo in November. She had some adult Indonesians (they looked like Indos, not 100% sure) so I asked if she would expect to have any babies. And she told me one of her females was currently pregnant and expecting in late December-early January. She told me that the female had mated with a high contrast male. She also said that they were an Indonesian species. Does it sound like she purposely bred them or she was a WC gravid female? And are there any downsides to buying a baby from a WC female? Any advice would help!

Late December sounds like an imported female. Or perhaps she was communal-keeping and they bred to the cycle they were used to. In any case, the babies will be captive born or captive born and bred, depending. I really hope she bred them to the same form, as "Indonesian" can mean a wide array of species and forms.

Health wise internal and external parasites are the main issue with imports.

Temperament can be a problem with adults as they are basically wildlife forced to live in a cage - they may hide more, or pace the walls trying to escape, sometimes they are tricky to feed but I think this is less of a problem with skinks

And then there is is moral issue of depleting wild populations and holding, packing and shipping them over X amount of days/weeks/?months? and the percentage of animals who die in the process compared to each one that survives to be sold overseas for $100 U.S. when the Indonesisn who caught it gets paid less than a $1 U.S.

So hopefully she bred them (the woman seemed really nice and knowledgeable) about them but it is likely she was a wc gravid female. is there any way to tell if they have parasites by looking at them? I'm guessing internal parasites would be hard.
