Thanks for posting this, Jeff. I remember seeing this before but for whatever reason got a lot more out of it this time round. I've been debating on switching to a dry diet if I can manage to get my blueys to eat it for some time now and seeing one of the best bluey breeders in the world not only using dry but using cat instead of dog says to me that it's a great alternative to messy wet foods.

I'll also be switching to racks very soon for my winter/brumation housing, do you know by chance what size tubs those were Joe had in his racks? Also is there a specific kind of hay that is recommended and are there any that should be avoided?

Oh wow, I'll have to consider keeping my blueys in stacks and trying out that food combo when I get to California. Being able to stack like that seems like it'd be much less expensive and more space-efficient when you've got more than one BTS.

Probably an Australia only product, I was thinking of researching the ingredients and finding the most comparable product available to us.

The hay mentioned is lucerne a.k.a. alfalfa, a legume hay not a grass hay. Probably chooses it as it is the most readily available and cheapest hay in Australia.

Interesting enough video but I don't agree with the dry diet choice. No mention of supplementing with calcium and D3 other than what is already in the cat food. Not surprised they drink a lot of water with a totally dry diet, however, that can have other consequences too if the water is consumed into the gut before the dry matter is being passed from the stomach to the intestines and further.

If so its not powder,its a pellet diet,kind of like juvie bearded dragon pellets

Interesting choice for food, but its always cool to hear what's working for breeders.

Those outdoor set ups were pretty cool too. I'll have to do some research, but my location in Oregon is pretty hot and dry, I might be able to pull something like that off, at least for summer time. I know my gf would appreciate that hahaha
