How do I know when he stops growing?

Reason I'm asking this is because it's been just about a year (If not more, as I don't know his hatch date) since I got him (Don't really know if he is even a Male) and he's still really small. I know sizes and their growth rate can vary a bit but, it's been a year and he's still just about 14.5 inches long. He's a Halmahera, I don't know his weight but he feels like hes about a pound (Can't tell if I'm exaggerating :p ) he shed's twice every month, a few times only once a month, he eats a custom chow (Has Dog food, grapes, apples, zucchini, Parsnips, Brown mushrooms, Kale, and Lettuce) that I give him about every day or two (Sometimes I give him a grape or a SuperWorm as a Treat) could it be he's just small or something strange? Should I post a photo?

I have always Loved the look of your Halmahera Bearded Derek!
My eastern is a little on the shorter side as well after a year of growing, a similar length as yours.

With ya first reptile I think its such a learning process, you wont get everything right every time the first time,
( even with this awesome forum) My Charlie went into brumation only a few months after he arrived with me so that slowed his development down a bit, but he eats like a trooper, we may need to get him on the treadmill soon (jokes)

If they are not full grown after a year, that doesn't mean they gonna stop growing, keep feeding him what ya feeding him, sounds like you have been taking all the advice the old hands around here have been giving ya, which is good.

I find that for the first while, they can pack away any amount of food and it all goes into length. Once they've started reaching max length they begin to fill out. I tend to tell people that as long as the skink is still getting longer, you can feed it just about any amount you want. Once the length evens out though they start putting on the pounds, and it's time to watch the weight more closely.

That said, that's based on Scincoides types, so Gigas types could be different.

gigas, especially the nominate subspecies, tend to be a little smaller that the other subspecies. Sounds to me like it's doing fine.

14.5 inches for a year is not bad for an Indonesian. Your skink will probably grow quickly until about 17-20 inches, and then slowly add an inch or two over the rest of its life.

The most recent photos would be these, I've been feeding him a lot since I've been told he was too thin, yet somehow he still looks a bit thin :/ at least he's not as thin as before. I also forgot to post a photo of his throat, hes getting this pretty bright red coloration, just like a skink here that I've seen on the forums (I think it's one Susann's skinks?) that has a bright red belly (Only Azuur's isn't as bright as that but still red )

I always knew that Indonesians tend to be smaller and grow slower than the other common Blue Tongues, but I didn't think it would vary by so much :p

Just a thought: Have you run any fecal checks on him? Its pretty cheap to just take a sample in and have them check for common parasites. This might be a factor if he's eating a lot, but still staying skinny.
