Hey, my name's John and this is Parker!

Postby BerserkApe » Wed Sep 18, 2013 4:35 pm

I've been a Blue-Tongue fan for the better part of three years now. My Bluetongue, Parker, was one of my immediate purchases once I got my own place and he has been in my handling since March. I don't know why I haven't gotten around to joining this forum but here I am!

Now, my question is? Is he a Merauke? New Merauke? Or plain old Indonesian?

He was wildcaught because I had to deal with a mite problem and he was quite aggressive when I first got him. (Well, aggressive in the form of just hissing constantly.)

Here's Parker!

Believe it or not he's not being aggressive in this pic. He's yawning after my girlfriend has been stroking his jaw.

Good size reference! And a wonderful Lady who helped me tame him.

Looks to me like a Merauke. Nice looking skink, and good job taming him down!

Parker looks really sweet! I love how excited he looks eating the egg.

Thank you and I hope to keep him even happier now that I'm on here.

I try not to spoil him to much. But, I love how his eyes light up when he gets a treat. He ran around with that egg for a good five minutes celebrating before crunching off one end.

That is too funny! I find it really hard not to spoil mine with treats also-- they just seem so happy and when you're trying to tame them it just seems like the natural thing to do to get them to like you :?
