Baby Play Tank

After a bit of a rough patch I'm on the mend and feeling energized, so I re-did my play tank today and spent about an hour watching all 13 babies romp around And of course I took some photos!





















Of course the babies don't left together in this tank. Most days I'll put a skink in to romp before I go to work, then switch for another baby when I get home. Because all the babies were going in, I used children's paint to number each baby - so I know who belongs in what tank afterwards. It's also what I use if I want to take a group outside for some sunshine, though so far I've kept these babies separate or in pairs for outings. The last time they were in a group was bath time when they were only a week or so old.

Again, the babies were supervised the entire time. I don't trust my babies together for even a moment if I'm not hovering. Thankfully aside from being a bit nervous at first they all behaved great and I got to see them being adorable I also took some videos, but I can't upload them from home, so they'll have to wait.

It always looks funny to see them together when we usually only see them on their own. They look extra cute, of course.

I'm new to the reptile scene (mainly dealt with fish in the past) but with fish its very stressful to move them from their tank to another, does that concept not apply to bts' s?

No, it's more of a getting out to explore thing.
If you shipped them through the mail every time you let them out to play, it would be more like moving a fish to a new tank

There is definitely some stress, especially at first. That's part of the reason I kept their group-time short. Once they're used to the tank, they consider it almost an extension of their home, so they feel safe, and it's a neat place to explore too. Similar to any type of handling/out-of-tank time - it's scary at first, but after a few times it becomes the new normal.
