It depends on the animal, not species. :wink:

T. gigas and the IJ typically range from a purple-ish blue to a sea blue. They definitely have blue tongues, just not as much as some Aussie species.

Hmm now i am thinking about a northern..... never knew it would be so hard to choose lol

first time i can remember tongue color being main thing in choosing a first species

Yep haveing one with a very blue tongue is sort of a must for my first time skink :lol:

So if i am correct the northern and eastern are known for haveing the most colorful tongue?

Regarding tongue color, shingles have a reputation for a dark, deep blue (which recall a few Aussies proving this is not always true) and gigas having a tongue that is blue on the tip and fades to pink (which is also not always true). I think Richard has a centralian hat has a pink tongue.

To say one species has the bluest tongue is near impossible. You should be more concerned about temperament rather than tongue color, IMO.
