Shedding problems

Got a new bts about a week ago. The pet shop owner didn't seem to know a ton about skinks and said it was having problems with shed. It doesn't seem to be making much progress so I figured I would give it a shed bath. Basically I'm wondering how much water to put in the tub, should I leave the top on for humidity and how long I should leave it in there? Also should I help him get it off or let nature take its course after the bath? Thanks in advance!!

If you could post some pictures of him, a full body from above, and some close-ups of his feet?
Now, we love seeing pictures, we actually REQUIRE pictures of new skinks but this request is more to be able to tell you whether we think he has problems with shedding or not. Someone not familiar with how skinks shed might very well assume there is a problem because it is so different from how most pet snakes and geckos do it.
I hate for you to stress your BTS out unnecessarily if he doesn't need a soak, because it does stress most of them out quite a bit.

How much water to put in the tub would depend on how big your skink is, but let's make sure he needs it first.

i just use a damp cloth to help soften and remove retained shed

if u must bathe them and its stick shed on feet i dont need much water

some species when going into a shed benefit from enclosure misting to aid in shedding process,as cages we keep them in are very dry,which drys out the fluid they produce when in shedding mode

Sorry for the bad pic, he(?) hates to be handled and I try not to stress any of my new reptiles. Anyway here's the new muraukee in his temporary enclosure until I build his new place this weekend.
