Doesn't cause much of a problem, unless you live in a extremely dry place, like a desert or something.

each species has differing in regards to humidity needs, some also being more forgiving to how much they get

all blueys arent the same in needs, some are tropical occurring,so like humidity, some are desert dwellers and loathe humidity, then theres subtropical ones, temperate forms ect ect, compare an alpine blotched blueys climate compared to a northern, the indo varieties, even westerns and centralians

some occur in all those climates mentioned,so more forgiving of conditions, classic example being the eastern bluetongue

others are more restricted to certain conditions so less forgiving, ideally you try to mimick that in captivity, desert ones you try keeping humidity down, tropical ones higher humidity, but all species you want to keep dryer in the enclosed containers we keep them in,as constant wetness is very bad even for tropical forms, they still need dryness, moisture in substrate but dry on top is good if u can control it ,hard to do without serious depth of substrate, moist hides are another option,or misting, say over night when its cooler so cage heating during the day can dry it out and you repeat misting the following evening
main thing to avoid is constant dampness in an enclosed heated environment as it allows bacterias to flourish which prove detrimental to lizards health

some folk soak there animals to hydrate them, but they shouldn't need that, thats just a band aid treatment to a dry environment,to much humidity for desert dwellers is similar to not enough humidity for tropical forms

animals from the tropics can have heat year round but have distinctive wet and dry seasons, dry seasons the hideaway to conserve condition, wet season there active and out and about, keeping dry year round isn't in there best interests
