I am a little concerned about Kahless my northern. He is just hitting a year old and came out of his first brumation about 2 months ago. His food intake has gone down, but that was too be expected. HOWEVER, he seems to have developed this fascination with trying to climb the walls of his cage!! Im not sure if he is too smart for his own good and thinks the rocks that are on his background are real and is trying to climb them ... when he starts to do this I usually take him out for some hangout time, but he gets more freaked out than settled when he is out of his cage. Goes a little hissy and then perches on the edge of the sofa and stares like he wants to jump lol
We will be moving soon and he will have a room that he can walk around freely in without me worrying about him getting lost or hiding under things I can't move, so he will have more freedom soon. BUT the questions I guess I am trying to get at is - is it normal for them to try and scale the walls? or is this a sign he needs more stimulation?
Thanks
Also he is subjective, I have no clue of "his" gender yet. Posted pics but ppl were saying he was still too little to tell.
