Do skinks fart?
I just fed my skink a large meal and after he finished eating he climbed onto his basking rock. Then after a couple of minutes of basking he let out what sounded like a rather large fart. After further examination i noticed that he had not pooped or peed. So my question is do skinks fart?

I was very surprised at how loud and long it was. He had an incredible ammount of gas in him for such a small animal. I know it had to have flatulated because he lifted up his hindquarters as he did it. It must have been something that i fed him. I change up his diet often to make sure he is getting all of the nutrients he needs. I fed him chicken liver today, i know this is fatty but it also has a lot of nutrients in it and it is not more fattening than eggs. Has anyone else fed chicken liver to their skinks?

Yup. Only a few times. Skinks seemed to enjoy it .
