Tank question
So I built a new enclosure for my new bts that will be here on Tuesday. I it is 45 *24*14.5 I put the lighting inside the enclosure my concern now is how high can they reach up if I use one of the bulb spots as a heat source or should I use a uth for ambient heat and the two sockets inside for a combination daylight bulb and uvb bulb

Re: Tank question
Also I've seen repti bark being used by a lot of folks for skink that kewl too? I like being able to clean and reuse is a nice touch. I couldn't imagine any more impaction issue then wood shavers?

Re: Tank question
I once had a enclosure that was only 12" high, and she NEVER got up there. Just make sure the heat source isn't right on the side, because they like to explore, which leads to climbing up the sides.
I think putting it at least 6"-8" from any side would ensure that he couldn't climb to the bulb.
