So you are supplementing with calcium and D3? How often? How long have you been supplementing? What are you feeding and how often?

If he is getting calcium with D3 then UVB is nice but not necessary. Is the front legs going up your only sign that you might have a calcium deficiency issue?

if you are now including supplement the problem will not progress much further after the d3 has been resupplemented in the skinks body. a damage done is however a damage that will stay, but many skinks live well with a minor mbd problem.

dont overdose the d3 though,it is stored in fat and not water, so it can stay in the body for when its needed, thats one of the reasons it takes a while to show.

id say.....just be careful with the skink for a few months. no trips, very much handling or much stress. dont want to break a bone. but that might not be correct advice. i also heard that breeding might not be ideal for skinks with any sign of mbd. im not well read on that topic.

there is some d3 supplement in dog food here, there should be a bit in the regular ones over there too? might be because we have less sunlight though. im sure its not enough to sustain a skink in a can of dogfood, but there should still be quite a lot?

photo of the front legs would be appreciated, since it MBD usually appear as kinks/bumps in the tail or back.

twice a week and 1 supplementation per week

and yes that is the only sign that i have noticed bysides he is slowing down a bit( not running away as fast)

If you've added calcium with D3, then keep supplementing that. Not much else you can do, although I'm not convinced it is MBD if all you see if leg movement. If it is, you caught it very early! But supplementing with calcium WITH D3 is always recommended, so it's a good change!
