I've only had him/her a couple of weeks, if that. He's already shedded his skin (about 4 days after I bought him) and he looks perfectly fine and is eating and pooping fine too. However, he now and again rubs his head against objects in his enclosure. He did this far more regularly during the 2 days or so that he was shedding, but I'm worried he might have something in one or both of his ears. I've read about "ear plugs" that can get stuck in the ears during a difficult/bad shed, but it's hard to tell. When I look into his ears, they look pretty empty, but they aren't completely empty. There is definitely nothing protruding or seemingly close to protruding from the actual ear, so if there was something in there that needed to come out, I wouldn't be able to reach it without some sort of thin tweezers which I've read is NOT a good thing to do. Does this sound normal? With me only having him for such a short time I can't tell if the inside of his ears look different now.
I'm hoping that I'm just being an overly cautious new owner so if anyone can offer me some advice I'd appreciate it.
PS. I was also going to raise some concern for his irregular breathing patterns, but have since read that this is considered normal in a BTS.

Sounds normal - I'd vote overly cautious. Always good to double check if you're unsure though!

My Northern rubs her head on everything like a cat, all the time. I think it is pretty normal.
Also I notice both my skinks do that after they eat, they like to wipe their faces clean.

Also could be just some residual shed on his head
