I plan to make a custom enclosure for my baby skinks, for when they are grown. I have this weird thin plywood, and I have the typical looking plywood. Are they safe?
I don't even know what the brown looking one is, I just assumed it. It's not chips put together like the typical plywood, it looks all one.
I plan to make it 3x2x1

Cobbler's new terrarium!! Is a post about someone that built their enclosure with plywood and acrylic. Maybe sent them a message and ask?

How are we supposed to know if random 'weird, thin plywood' you have lying around is safe? That isn't enough of a description for us to tell...
If you seal it properly it should be ok. There are lots of previous threads about building enclosures and sealing them - do a search, lots of your questions have probably been answered already.

haha my reaction as well. Also, if possible, the ideal dimensions for a full grown skink are 4 x 2 x 1 .

If it is not cedar or pine, it is probably safe. If you have no way of telling what it is made of, you should NOT use it. Also, if you know nothing about it, it could have strange, harmful chemicals in it.

I've read that birch plywood is perfectly safe. Pine and cedar as others have said are not safe.
