Calypso not eating (possibly Gravid)
I am a little concerned about Calypso not eating. It has been about 2 weeks. I believe there is a good chance she is Gravid (she was mated 4 times with our Male Northern about 40 days ago.) She has been basking for long periods each day. I have tried enticing her with her favorites, made her some runny scrambled eggs today, but still no go. She is a big girl and I wouldn't be concerned about her not eating if I wasn't thinking she is Gravid. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Often they show lack lustre interest in food early in gravidity, they can do it later to,just eating small amounts, being a big girl she would be well stocked on fat reserves ect so no issues there, she will show interest in food again soon
Is it still cool there, sometimes if temps arent fully up they can be picky to

Thanks Richard for the reply. I am trying not to worry, she certainly has some fat reserves, I was just worried about the babies growth, if she is gravid. It had been very cold here outside, below zero much of the past week. I have been making sure her basking area stays around 98, and the room temps are about 68.

Just make sure temps are good and she has access to all she might need and let her decide what she wants.
Offer healthy meals with lots of calcium and protein and if she wants to eat she will. If she doesn't, don't worry - they wouldn't be eating nearly this well in the wild and babies turn out just fine. Lack of appetite is fairly common. Good luck with her!! Hope she is gravid!

Ditto the previous responses. I have a few females that ALWAYS stop eating for 3-4 weeks during their pregnancies. it is usually during the early stages.

Thanks, we are hoping she is gravid! I will just keep offering her healthy meals every couple of days and hope she starts eating again.

Re: Calypso not eating (possibly Gravid)
Finally got Calypso to eat a few meal worms. I know they aren't the best nutritionally, but I am just happy she ate something! I will keep offering her a healthier meat/veggy mix 2x a week.
