Update on BTS and Q's

Hey you guys so it had been 3 weeks since i first recieved my nbts. So far he/she has been eating well and has been okay with handeling. I mostly feed him turnip greens, variois squashes, green beans, and pedigree dog food. He actually go his first snail today too. When it comes to handeling he has been huffy/hissy sometimes closed mouth sometimes open, but he has been okay. The question i have is that his tongue sometimes sticks out of his mouth. It kind of looks like the tip is sometimes out of his mouth. I supplement with calcium d3 every other meal. Since noticing this i have increased the amout of calcium with the feedings and have noticed a slight change. It don't believe it is mbd or anything too serious but just a lack of calcium. So, i was wondering if your blueys tongue sometimes sticks out. Is it normal? Maybe he is just a goof.

Mine used to do that sometimes, havent noticed it in a while. I dont think it means anything, just a weird thing they do I guess

I wouldn't worry about that, if you're supplementing calcium every few feedings that should be fine and tongue sticking out occasionally isn't a concern. Glad things are going well!

Perfectly normal in some ,it is odd,but yes nothing to worry about,young ones seem to do it alot,but even adults can

Just to add the little dot's onto the i:

It don't believe it is mbd or anything too serious but just a lack of calcium.

Lack of calcium is one of the factors that tributes to Metabolic Bone Disease.
Whenever we start to see symptoms, whatever they are, we speak of MBD.

Offcourse MBD is more than just hypoCa, but I just wanted to add this little note


For the rest of your story, normally whenever the levels of Ca in the blood are stabel, nothing to be concerned about it!
