Introduction
hello, I'm new to this forum and got my first bluey about a month ago. I am so in love! Absolutely the sweetest reptile I've ever met! She was fairly skinny when I got her with hip bones sticking out and the woman I got her from couldn't tell me what species she was. With a little tlc she back to a healthy state and I believe She is a female Irian jaya. We have decided to name her nova and she has quickly become a big part of our family
so here she is!

Re: Introduction
Welcome! I agree that it appears to be an IJ. I'd want to see a better picture to verify but I'm pretty confident. Glad she has a good temperament! Please feel free to post more pics

Here's a few better pics. I was wondering if you could tell me if the scales on her tail look normal? They almost look dry but she just went through a shed and I have given her a few good soaks in the bath but they look the same.

Re: Introduction
From what i can see the scales on the tail look as they should be,her bandings just lighter with what appears to be darker edging, shes a nice looking specimen, looks to be in great shape,a good sign your doing well with her getting her back in condition
I day her loosely, almost has a young male look, can be tricky with younger looking to subadult ones though, even more so going off pics

Welcome to the forum! What a beautiful irian jaya, I love how neutral her colors are! Glad to hear that you rescued her and brought her back into a nice condition.
As for the scales, like Richard said they appear to be fine. If you're talking about the coloration difference between her body and her tail, that's completely normal. Tails tend to be in a more gray spectrum than the rest of the body.
