Update of the gang

Hi all,

Just a couple of iphone pics from today. I try to give them a bit more protein at this time of year to give the girls a boost after mating. By the look of things I'm hoping that at least 5 girls are gravid (fingers crossed).

Have u held back babies from any of the high black gold fields,im not sure what it is but i really dig them,bright buggers are quite impressive though,a few of them look gravid already,great condition anyways

they are so amazing! every time i look at photos of them they seem to become more orange
it always takes a while to find the cute little eastern too. does he bask by himself? i didnt see him in the last photo.

They are stunning! I think you give them that special goldfish food as a sprinkle topping- you know, the one that boosts natural orange colours? Either that, or you diligently dip them all in orange nail polish just before a photo shoot. They are beautiful. Looking at them is like seeing tv in technicolor for the first time, totally mind blowing.

The eastern is actually a western australian western bluey linnea

Poor sausage looks like road kill under those well proportioned shinglebacs- all squashed in the middle! The trampling didn't affect his appetite, though.

Still wowing at these. All together munching is really an incredible sight.

She is indeed a little western bluetongue. The westerns are somewhat dwarfed by the shingles, but that never seems to stop them come dinner time. Decided to keep her separate from the boy this year as I try not to breed them before their third season, but all should be good to go next year.

Richard I did hold back 3 of the red and black babies - you can see 2 of them in the first picture. One is squashing the bluetongue and the other is feeding at the bottom left. All are looking female, which along with the little orange one that I'm picking as male, should make a good addition to the group. I really have a hard time giving up the little ones each year, but with my numbers steadily increasing I've promised myself to only hold onto one baby this season

Perhaps I should start work on those new enclosures, gonna have to make room... ;D

Do you still have the pictures of your goldfields with the pink bougainvillea flowers on the ground with them? Those were so colourful and the purple complemented the orange shinglebacks perfectly. I did a quick search, but I can't find them, otherwise I'd post a lInk. They were terrific pictures, it would be great to see those ones again, if you have time.

Those pictures make my head hurt, they are filled with such beautiful and inaccessible (to those of us residing in the United States) lizards. Thanks for sharing, nonetheless!
