heating up dog food

Postby Renee » Wed Dec 05, 2012 12:42 pm

I had Cosmo on dry merrick dog food (i soak it in water for 10 minutes till its squishy) and he loved it but I had to switch him to Natural balance because I switched my dogs over to it because of their stomach problems and Cosmo doesnt seem to like it as much so I was going to get cans of merrick for him, Does anyone heat up the food in the microwave for a few seconds or just give it to them room temp? I've noticed Cosmo likes eating things that are warm better like his cooked eggs and his ground beef and chicken. Is anyone elses skink like this?

Heating up the food makes it smell more strongly, so it's more appetizing to them. Just leaving cold food out for a bit to get up to room temperature is often enough for them to realize it's all smelly and good and mine will eat just about anything I leave out for them.
I used to be cool.
