Had a full enclosure clean today so decided to measure and weigh our girl. She is now 50cms and weighs 682gms.

She looks great, a perfect size. Those condensed wood pellets are an excellent substrate for blueys, I used that a lot when mine were inside. The enclosure looks terrific, she looks almost as if she's smiling and saying 'thanks for tidying in here'!

She looks awesome! I still don't understand exactly what the average size is for the different types of blotched. Is she typical size for a Blue Mountain form?

She would be the biggest of the three although I haven't weighed and measured them for a while.

I'm not sure as to size either Jeff, Richard would know that better with his collection for comparison. Clancy is not as big as the wild girl who has had a few litters in our yard over the past several years, but I mostly see that one when she is gravid. I sighted one I assumed to be female near our door about 5-6 years ago who was the biggest I have seen. She would have been close to 60cms and a huge girth, almost one and a half times the body size of Clancy.

Oola is the greater poser when there is a camera around. :D

I'm really pleased with Clancy though considering how she was when we first got her. She is very mellow now, there wasn't even a huff when we picked her up to clean the enclosure.

Clancy is about normal for her age, my girls are about 50-60cm long and between 800g-1000g. Bigger and heavier after they had their first litters. I'm sure there are lot of girls out there who can identify with that. ;-)

What type of scale do you use to weigh skinks? I've got one thats great for sand boas, and nothing bigger :(
