New BTS owner
We just recently got our first BTS. We have had many reptiles before but never a BTS. What species is our little guy? This picture was taken on our way home with him. I need to get better pictures of him. He has quite the personality. My son just loves his new guy. My son has been holding him and sits on his lap. This is what my son wanted. I know that we will have more questions. I just love all the information you guys have on the BTS.

Looks like a little cutie! Seems Indonesian. Those skinks like a little more humidity, so if you're keeping it on aspen you should definitely provide a hide that has something with more moisture like moss.

Here are some better pictures. Tiger was out this morning when I gave him his food. I also have a question on feeding him. Can I feed him chard? It is one of the things in our garden and I would prefer to feed him from our garden. If he can't have chard than I will grow what he can have. I did buy him collard greens but our stores around here have a very poor selection. What they are selling almost always is on the border line of needing to be tossed. We all ready have spaghetti squash, acorn squash, and summer squash so he will be getting a variety of squash in his diet. Today I gave him a little bell pepper we will see when I get home what is left. HE has not been eating the collard green well but does eat some of them when mixed with the rest of his food. He sure does have an big appetite. We have been feeding him daily and every day but one he has eaten it all up. The one day he did not finish we gave him more than normal because he had been eating it all and we were not sure if we were giving him enough. I have been feeding him boiled chicken this week but tomorrow will be trying the dog food I got him. This weekend we are making him his moist hide for the cooler side of his cage.
