Discoloration on jaw?
Reptar has developed this weird spot on his jaw and I need help identifying what it is and how to treat it. It almost looks like a spot where he hasn't shed properly, but he's had the spot since I got him and it has gotten larger after his last shed. The spot doesn't appear to involve his mouth at all, just the scale on the outside of his jaw.

have you tried soaking your lizard? maybe its a flakey scale?

Thanks for the reply. It's looking better today so I'm really wondering if it is a flaky scale, like possibly was previously damaged and is still healing. I haven't ever tried soaking him, so I may try that.

Look very properly inside the mouth on that place. be observant of any discharge, yellow or brown or black colour or the like.
sometimes the scales around the mouth just are a bit dented, but mouth rot is not all too uncommon, and needs to be treated. so be very observant.
i have not had a skink with mouth rot, but ive had the chance to see some examples of it on the forum every now and then.
just wait for the others to take a look too, they can give you much more direct advice on the matter.
why do you suggest soaking, joey? i do not see how it would help.
