Lol. My skink used to drop mealworms a lot when I used to feed him those, he would NEVER chase a cricket lol he just wouldn't even try, but when he goes after a dubia roach and really wants it he can grab em and get them down.

Im actually buying some dubia roaches next week for the first time. hopefully mine will love them as much as yours does. Crowley use to do anything for meal worms when I use to feed him them. Knew the container they were in and all. Its a shame they arent very healthy for them. I bet he would live off mealworms if I allowed him to!

After mine tried dubias he's refused to eat meal worms lol! Not like i fed them much anyway, he would always pass them whole X_X

that's awesome you are getting dubias though, very healthy. are you starting a colony?

I was thinking of starting a colony but i already have snails breeding. Might see how much they enjoy the roaches though. And i know that the mealworms are hard for them to digest, the shells use to somehow not pass for a while. Had ex rays on my baby bluey to prove it too which was a bit scary. Im looking forward to seeing if my skink will chase after the roahces You have a colony? How much did you originally pay for your roaches? I can only find one place that ships to Tasmania and its $21 USD for 25, but then only $23 USD for 50. I cant even find frozen pinkies or any other place that will ship roaches here

Aww thats so cute hes like get back here you! Cosmo is a horrible hunter too, he loves wax worms and goliath worms when i give them as an occasional treat but he usually drops them or starts trying to shake it up before its even in his mouth. And he just watches crickets when theyre in his cage.

Haha, yeah mine use to love crickets, but have gotten lazy and now just watch then crawl by. I give my baby blue tongue a fair bit of protein just while he is growing.
It really is funny watching them eat live food. Most the time Crowley gets the floor a few times before realising the food is a tad further away than he realises lol.

Dubia roaches are excellent food and easy to breed. Feed off your males first, you can easily start a colony. They love oranges, sweet cereal, and goldfish flakes.

I probably would start my own colony, but my partner isn't too keen on the idea XD

Cosmo is a northern boy I was going to try dubias but when I went to the store (which was over an hour away cuz petco doesnt sell them) the guy didnt want to sell them to me cuz he said theyre only for picky eaters... But then he also wouldnt tell me anything about the pygmy chameleon i was interested in only panthers for who knows what reason

mmmm, im kind of biased against pet stores, seen way too many bad things done to animals, cruel and physical to make them aggressive or in pain. And generally they dont know much about animals at all, well thats the case where I live anyway (Tasmania, Australia)

And id love to see photos of Cosmo hint hint
