Alright, I've been doing a lot of searching on the web, but I decided to ask some experienced skink keepers here on what type of brands to you use to feed your skinks? What brands are good/bad?
I believe this was asked before, but I cannot find the topic and I'd rather get an updated answer in case something has changed. Just to be safe - I don't want to hurt my new baby! I think I asked James this already, too, but I forget the answer.
Are there any common brands I could stick with? Or are the well known ones bad? Will I have to go shopping online vs a pet store, wal-mart, etc, etc?

Re: Dog/Cat Food?
Wellness and Merrick dog food seem to be popular around here.
I am personally using Wellness right now, but I might try out different brands later just for some extra variety.

Re: Dog/Cat Food?
I haven't seen it suggested on here, but I was comparing Wellness brand to Blue Buffalo (the kind my dog eats), and it's pretty close! Blue Buffalo has a grainless option that has no avocado and no phosphates. You should be able to find it in a Petco near you, and you can always order it online. I haven't fed it to my skink yet, as she's on Wellness right now and I have to go through the ingredients more closely (anyone is welcome to help me ^_^), but I will probably try it if it checks out completely. They have a few that look interesting: Blue Basics, Blue Freedom, and Blue Wilderness (all have ingredients listed, which makes it easy to use the find function on your browser to search for particular ickies).
Some have fish oil in them, which I can't tell is okay or not; I know they don't eat fishies, but what about the oil?

Aah, alright. Thanks so much! I'll try and find some wellness dogfood around here. I'd like to not just feed Marbles crickets for his meat. He's had a little cooked stuff, but he's still refusing his veggies.
