are any of your skinks night agressive

i have noticed that when i forget to say change the water eailer in the day and i do it at say 9:30-10:00 PM if blaze is asleep and i wake him he becomes super aggressive and tongue displays and strikes at anything that moves but he is tame as can be in the day time
does any of your skinks do this

Make sure he can see you. my skink is super sweet but did the same thing the second night i had her. My friend then pointed out that it was a little dark and maybe she just couldnt see. as soon as more lights came on, she was fine.

Hmm well my skink has NEVER shown aggression, but when he is asleep and burrowed and I go to wake him up but haven't gotten his head out yet and he doesn't know it's me he huffs a bit and gets a little nervous. Then as soon as his head is out and he sees me he stops and is like "oh its you!" lol.

Perhaps if it's dark this could be a reason, or he just gets startled and defensive if woken up before he knows what's really going on.

no the light are on and he wakes up and if i continue working in the cage he starts striking and displaying.
once again he is fine during the day time
i am just trying to see if there is someone who has experence with the behavor and how make it better/fix it

Well I would suggest giving him a few minutes and then slowly showing your hand to him so he can see its you (if he is usually fine doing this) instead of rustling up his cage and moving things around as he's sleeping or just waking up, he might be nervous because he was just woken up and maybe thinks he's in danger. That'd be my guess

yeah id say hes just cranky cause hes being woken,especially if hrs fine during the day,if they cool down a bit at night,they are less active,and feel alot more vunerable,so act accordingly,threat display

In all my years of living, i have learned thusly:

"Thou shall not wake any living being who is either cold blooded or has low blood pressure from their good nights sleep"

wether its and animal or a human you will face the consequences, usually being irrational aggressive behaviour that is directed towards you
