Behavioral question

Postby skeetersmom » Mon Jul 02, 2012 7:00 am

I have had Skeeter for a few months - first BTS. He gets held on a regular basis (after his "get aquainted" time of course). A couple of days ago, after a few minutes into his holding time, he started backing up..and kept doing so till after about 5 minutes I put him back in his enclosure - where he was totally fine.

He did this again last night - and I am wondering if there are any thoughts on this act - he didn't seem stressed

Maybe he's bored with being held and wants to move around?

Could very well be - I will try that. Grass is super dry, but I can see how he likes walking on the sidewalk.

Thanks

Fatal gets a gold star. Last nights "outing" Skeeter got to investigate the couch, which he did in detail. We then went outside and my neighbor was kind enough to let him explore on his lawn (mine was sprayed a couple of weeks ago).

I should have known it was something obvious

Glad it worked out for you :) Mine tend to love exploring, so it was a lucky guess.

Scooter 'scoots' away very often, and I agree - just needs some change of pace :)
Scooter Likes to explore and wonder. I have a chronic explorer here. :)
