This skink is listed on king snake as a pink tongue skink, why does it have a black/blue colored tongue like a shingle back then? What makes this specice not a blue tongue skink?

That's a pink tongue skink. As juveniles they do have blue tongues, but as the mature the tongue becomes pink. Giving them the name, pink tongue skinks

Are they the same genus? Could Pink tongue and Blue tongue produce young? Or do Pink tongue's just not get big enough?

Re: Pink tongue - Blue Tongue
Pink tongue are closely related. About the same size 15-18inches more streamlined than chubby. They have way more babies 69 on record, and they have live birth. Eat mostly mollusk( snails and slugs) with other insects and some vegetation(I'm not to sure about the veggies) they are semi-arboreal while blueys are terrestrial. Pink tongues are Cyclodomorphus gerrardii while blueys are Tiliqua
they used to be part of tiliqua but no longer.

These quys look cute - but with those long legs, looks like they would be a lot more mobile than BTS. Too bad I am at my limit of animals (self imposed)...would be interesting having one of these
