You would not believe how hard it was to explain to my parents why I was watching Sesame Street....

Just to clear up, is it actually Scooter? Or do you mean how kids seem to link everything they see with something they know, therefore it was 'their scooter on tv'. (If that makes sense xD) My friend is currently doing a nannying exchange in France, and whenever a Kangaroo, koala etc appears on tv or in a book, they must always show her, exclaiming shes on Tv/ in their book !!

Good point! No, it is not Scooter on tv; but you are right - they see ANY BTS and it is Scooter. Even when I showed them this website and all the different types of BTS they were calling the little babies "baby Scooters" and the albino ones "white Scooters" ;-) They are 5 years old. :noknow: what can you do?

That is so awesome. With all the exotics legislation happening in the states, reptiles need all the good press they can get.

Did anybody else really enjoy that clip? Like... more than an adult should...?

Thanks for sharing this! I love finding bts as guest stars in clips like this.

Admittedly, I find lots of preschool programing entertaining. lol. Maybe that's why teaching 5 year olds is so fun. We can relate :ohyes:

I love educating people about reptiles. I take my Skeeter (I.J.) around to different schools in my area along with my snakes (corns, and brizillian rainbow boa) to do just that. Precious (my new Hog Island Boa) will be making the rounds next school year.

It is so interesting/cool to hear all the questions they have about them - where do they come from - what do they eat etc. Of course the first question about the snakes (even the corns) is - - "can they eat me". I wish I can find a fake rat the size that are used for feeders to show them.

You guys (and the clip) just gave me an idea. I have a friend who is a member of a puppet troop - will have to find out if reptile education can be incorporated into their routine.
