i think he is trying to say - there are no veterinarians at all in vietnam. as in 0.

do as said - he might loose that toe but lets make sure he doesnt loose the others.

- switch substrate to paper towels
- wash the foot carefully
- if you cant find "antibacterial cleaning water" for either humans or animals, make salt water (salt + clean water) and wash it with quick. not too much or it hurts a lot. it is not as effective but it works if the water used is clean. do not use vietnamese sea water.

it looks like he might loose the toe. so be prepared.

he will still be a happy skink if you keep the wound clean :D

deadmau - do you want this information in vietnamese? i have a friend who speaks it fluently.

only soak the wounded foot in a little salt water :D

it dries the wound out.

you dont wanna dry our his other skin and scales XD
no worries for once though

if the toe still has blood veins, it will heal as it is. if there is no blood to the toe it will fall off.
but like this bacteria wont spread and make new wounds.

dont be super worried though - skinks in nature loose toes too and they make it just fine xD lots of skinks on this forum has lost toes too.

once the wound has closed you can switch back to his regular substrate and regular skink life :D

im happy to hear good news about his leg :D seems you managed to clean out the wound very well to let him keep his toe. once the wound is closed and dry you can start to let him have his substrate back and so.

fish is not dangerous to feed - but a bts would not naturally eat it in their environments so it should only be fed on occasion.
some fish contain a lot of metals and toxins from factories around the area (vietnam, japan and singapore being famous for this), and shrimp too. this is the reason many avoid to feed it too. even here in sweden we now avoid to eat certain fish from our own waters due to pollution.

but it is not bad to variate their diet a little every now and then, for this reason they are handy pets to feed xD im sure your bts enjoyed that shrimp very much ;D
