Landmarks for Decorations

Looking for suggestions from my friends all around the world. I've been making some decorations/hides recently and am looking for theme-suggestions. Each tank needs to have a theme and there needs to be at least 3 major recognizable landmarks corresponding to that theme. There can definitely be more than 3 landmarks/decorations too. I'm looking at themes like countries, major cities, old cathedrals, ecosystems, eras, or such.

Examples:
Egypt Theme - Pyramids, Spinx, Temple of Karnak, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings
Sydney Australia - Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbor Bridge, Sydney Tower Eye

So please throw out any ideas you have. I'll start with some simpler themes and I'll post pictures of what I'm working on and the end result :)

New York Theme: Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center, Staten Island Ferry, Central Park

Alaska Theme (which would be funny since skinks are hot weather lizards): Church of the Holy Ascension, Sheldon Jackson School, Alaskan Native Totem Pole, Crabbing/Fishing Boat

Amazon Rainforest Theme: Big tree, vines, various animals, Amazon River, native people hut(s)

Thx, Neema :) NY would be great as a more beginner one (since I know many of the landmarks well) :)

More info: I also like book/movie/video game themes. So I'm planning a Mario Kart theme, a Doctor Who theme, a How to Train your Dragon theme, etc. So any random ideas are welcome.

You are most welcome! I figured New York would be an easier one while the Alaska a bit more difficult. As for movies and such: Shrek, tv show House, tv show Bones, Jurassic Park, Finding Nemo (again a theme that would look funny)...

Oh and a generic Arabian theme might be cool too.

Love the theming idea. Might be because I'm taking a class on Southeast Asia right now, but I think that region would have great ideas for landmarks that could be turned into hides.

The Ta Prohm temple at Angkor Wat:

It's very similar to the Prambanan temple complex in Indonesia:

India would also make for a great theme, so many brightly colored landmarks. Also China, Morocco, ancient Mesoamerican empires like the Maya, Olmec, Aztecs...

Lord of the Rings tank? A Shire tank with Hobbit hole hides would be hilarious I think...

Oooh - great idea! Look up various world heritage sites: http://whc.unesco.org/en/list

If you went with the ancient ones you could find a lot of great ideas. I think most really recognizable landmarks should be on the list.
