We are slowly building a home to house a B.T.S but everything I read from the bedding to eating is different from one page to another
Can anyone help give a check list guide line on what to get we don't want to rush out and get everything all at once we plan to just get one of two things a month till we have the perfect ( to us ) setting then get it fully set up then buy a B.T.S and only through a breeder

so any help with both best options / Ideas plus check list would be great

This is just another caresheet, but it is what I would type in answer to your questions, so I will take the lazy way out. As the page says, this is what I would recommend for a northern (which is the type of I would recommend as a first BTS pet). There is another page for meraukes which I would use for most Indonesian types. Like you said, you are likely to get different opinions from whoever you ask. This is just mine.

The best part about BTS is there is no single right way to care for them... so if you pick up a bedding and use it for a month or two and want to switch, it is just fine. The caresheet on this site or the one Jeff linked will give you excellent starting points. It makes it a bit frustrating for a new owner, because there are so many options... but don't worry too much, there are lots of 'right' options.

The caresheet Jeff linked is nice and simple - I'd use that as a start and feel free to post any questions. It is easier for people to recommend specific things, so don't hesitate to ask about specifics and you'll probably get lots of replies.

I'd recommend getting a Northern, aspen is a good bedding to start with, and the diet sheet here: http://bluetongueskinks.net/foodchart.html has lots of options. Variety is best for diet. Welcome and good luck!!!
