Are Blue Tongue's Finicky Eaters?

Postby wrath » Sat Oct 08, 2011 10:36 pm

I put some collard greens out along with some dog food and mango for my BTS baby but he didnt touch the collard greens at all? Does each skink have a preference on what they like? I'm thinking maybe I should mix everything up so the greens are mixed in with the dog food. I kinda had everything separate on the dish.

you are correct. they all have their likes and dislikes, generally that means they will pick out the meaty parts of the food rather than the veggies, however there are skinks on this forum who picks out the veggies and leaves the meat, i think.

so mix them up well and dont let it escape a good vitamin source :D

They have likes and dislikes, yes, but are only picky if you let them be - So basically, if they dont eat their food then tough luck, they go hungry. They will eventually learn, and a hungry skink is never a picky skink ;)

Definitely mix it together, that way they cant pick through~
