I been having good progress with handling Pluto that's never really been handle. sHe also been eating solid foods for once in her life. Bad news is that she wont let anyone hold her besides me, I feel special and also my uvb ran out so how long can she last with out it?

sounds great!

the uvb.....you could buy D3 supplement instead of a new bulb, id say not let pluto go a week or two without either a bulb or supplement, but thats my personal opinion.

but if it was the heatbulb that died youd be good to buy a new one within a day.

i dont know with D3, but i guess to sprinkle a bit on every or every other meal is a good idea if youre sprinkling calcium too.

there should be info in the d3 and calcium supplement on how much to feed for a lizard of a certain weight : )

There should be info like that - it would be ideal. Unfortunately, no one pays for research like this on BTS. So we don't have exact information like that - at best, supplementing is an educated guess based on past experiences. It is frustrating to get advice like "a pinch" or "a sprinkle", but that is about as accurate as it is. Like I said in the other thread, the best information we have is coming from breeders who have been keeping blueys for many, many years and have lots of them. They have seen no ill effects to not providing UVB and supplementing fairly generously with calcium and D3. Many people still provide UVB lighting as a 'better safe than sorry" precaution. :D
