So i seem to have a lot of gnats in my bts viv. Are they harmful in anyway? If so what's the best way to get rid of them? Any thoughts would be helpful

Maybe change out the substrate to paper towels for a while? If the skink was burrowing rather than using a hide you would have to add a hide though.
No, it's a SKINK not a SKUNK. Er, no, it's not a Blue Tongued Skank---although I do think I dated one of those at some point.
