How long do they sleep?
Hey all, just wondering if someone could tell me how many hours a day a bluetounge should be sleeping for? And if mines sleeping to long what I should do to wake it up?

They are by nature very lazy creatures - although they can be inquisitive, often times they just like to sleep
(and a times you get some who do so more then others) Often they will only really come out for food, water, and a bask~
Most definitely do not wake them up - they know what they are doing
Ensuring that temps are correct also helps prevent them from becoming sluggish from lack of warmth. Also, during the winter months some times they will go into brumation (similiar to hibernating). When they are like this they will sleep for months on end, only rising very occasionally.

You don't. If you husbandry / temperatures are all right then let him do whatever he wants. Reptiles are not very active creatures.
