High Heat!

Postby StaceyLeigh » Thu Jul 21, 2011 10:42 am

I am worried about the temps today. We are having unusually high temps today in NY, 97 outside + high humidity. We do not have ac (don't usually need it really). Thor's tank is 90 on the cool side, turned off the basking light.
Any ideas to cool it down?

Put cold water in a water bottle. Put it into the tank on the cool side and put a towel over it. Now he has a cool retreat if he wants it. Change the water whenever it becomes warm.

Ok I just filled up a water bottle with very cold water, put it in the tank (with towel over it) also . Thanks Fatal S for the idea.

Generally they're fine in higher heat, but you're being a great owner and giving him the option to cool off if he wants to :D

Now go eat some ice cream to cool yourself off :)
