heating and tubs

Postby xxmonitorlizardxx » Wed Jul 20, 2011 11:11 am

How do you heat tubs. I have heard of people having great sucess with tubs and uth(under tank heater) but I have also heard of tubs melting and starting/almost starting fires or letting loose whatever was inside it. I will be using tubs for roaches depending on how this thread goes.
Thanks. :D[/i]

I believe that when it comes to roaches, many people have found that heating the tubs by placing then above or below their reptiles tanks hot ends to be effective enough - Maybe thats an option?

Heat tape works great on tubs but always keep it on a thermostat or rheostat.

Heat cable? Basically low-powered heat-tape. Could even go inside the tub if you wanted. Just another option.
