Postby reaperreptiles » Sun Jul 03, 2011 7:26 am

So i got ditched last night so my husband could go out with the guys....well, got super bored. started up that painting i was showing you guys last month. Got the tongue and eyeball done, later tonight i will be doing the eye scales and eyelids. cool thing is, these are not neon colors of paint, but bc they are against black they pop out like they just glow, awesome! have decided to paint a centralian, thanks for those pictures...you know who youare

yeah, problem is I dont have a full degree in art bc I dropped out to become a vet tech. So I am pretty much self taught in art. Most people want 'educated' artists to buy and comission art from. And since i love to paint reptiles the only people who would really be interested are us reptile people. Im trying to get about 20 paintings of various reptiles stocked up and imma go to our local show at the end of the year and try to sell some of them. But other than that i really dont have the 'credentials' to be a professional artist. Would love to....but I hated college art classes bc they always tell you how and what to paint??? Its suppose to be about expression and they turn it into a math. My love for animals is sooo much stronger than my love of art so I figured id go down the route that would be better for me.....But thanks:)

Yeah, but that was a different time. now a days its different, plus with the economy the way it is (in the US) alot of people arent buying artwork right now. so its tough.

Stick around a couple years. When I get my own house, I'm going to need some amazing reptile decorations...
