Raptor out for a stroll and photoshoot, possible scale rot?

Postby EvoSolley » Thu Jun 23, 2011 10:45 pm

Hey guys,

So i took raptor out for a stroll today. He now chills in my hoodies hood when i walk around and stuff hes pretty chill but decided to crawl down my shirt and fall asleep. needless to say i had to lay on my back and just wait for him to come out for a while today haha.

anyways as i was going through these pictures i noticed a spot on his nose. of course you all i know i like to freak out when i see something unusual and that's what I'm just about to do haha. I don't know if this is the begging signs of some scale rot, or maybe just some dried up food mixed with some dust from the repti-bark I use as substrate. Anyways thought i would run it across you all to see if it looks like anything to worry about, i would check him out but hes asleep for the night, will do in the morning.

enjoy the pics!

its the stuff right across from his nose, sorry for the crappy cell quality. ill try and scrape it off tomorrow when hes awake and see if its just dirt or something but thought i would ask u all what you think.

could possibly be dried food cuz he is a bit messy when he eats lol

Looks like food. Try washing it off with a damp facecloth.

Great photos. He looks so interested in everything.

^^ thanks for the input guys :D I knew i was probably over reacting again, just caught me by surprise when i was going through the pics before posting em. I cant wait to actually take Raptor out into the sun, he seemed to really enjoy the heat when he was on my bed basking in the sun coming through my window.

Looks like you should be able to just rub it off with your finger!

Love the close-ups.
