That looks like mouth rot. You can see what looks to be a scale coming off in the first pic. If so a vet would be needed.

Sometimes mine get a piece of aspen stuck in their mouth and it causes irritation, or the silly gooses get food stuck in that area, but it normally takes care of itself, i've never seen my skinks get that bad...I'd recommend taking it to the vet.

I told you in a previous post how much your Oliver looks like my Joey.
If you do a search on my posts under Sick little guy or Could it be mold, I've carefully explained and attached pictures of Joeys problems. He has the same eye, mouth, and foot problem!
Do I remember correctly, Oliver has lost most of his digits? I swear, Oliver and Joey has the same problem!
Joey's eyes and digits will get red and inflamed, swell, and he's rubbed his eyes so much he's lost most of his lids on his right eye! I have to soak them every day for him to be able to open his eyes, because they get crusted shut.
Digits just puff up, turn black, and fall off!
He gets that slimy crust along the bottom of his upper lip. That never seems to turn inflamed, but i have to soak the crust and carefully pick it off. It has, on Joey, never been a mouth-rot, but chunkier, less pasty, food seems to help that a bit.
Joey has been treated with everything possible (at least it feels that way). All kinds of antibiotics; I've even had to give him injections. Taken him to a veterinary ophthalmologist. Have had all types of creams for his eyes and feet. The only thing that seems to coincide with a period of less inflammation has been vitamin A injections, and placing him in a very sterile environment. He lives in a large tank with only towels to burrow in and a smooth glass bowl for water, otherwise he will repeatedly rub his eyes on whatever he can.

I would definitely suggest taking Oliver to a vet that deals with exotics. To rule out mouth-rot if nothing else. If you and your vet are able to determine what's going on, and are able to treat it with good results, PLEASE let me know! Joey has been dealing with this for almost a year now, at times he's been really sick, has been hospitalized a couple of times, then, other periods he seems almost normal for a time, before the cycle starts again.

Good luck! I hope it's not the same thing Joey has, because it's been very frustrating.
You can PM me if you want more details.
Let me know what happens.

Like others have said, definitely see a vet! It could be stomatitis - none of us are qualified to determine that.

Definitely search through Susann's old posts like she suggested. There is some good info there. :) Good luck!!

:( it sounds s kinda serious now

on an off note, I think that Joey and (Olivia I guess) must be siblings, or clones...

Id say this is serious. I think a vet visit should be in order. Your vet will proably give you some medication and or cream for him. It might cost you a little bit of money, but in the long run its worth your little bluies health :)

I hope he gets better soon

Agreed with the others- vet visit is in order, esp before it has a chance to get any worse.

As for gender, I'm about 92.5% sure that your Oliver is an Olivia.

I am going to copy paste my correspondence with Susann here so that everyone can give there ideas and or suggestions.

"Well Oliver/Olivia's eyes are better then Joie's. They get red and puffy but so far they haven't gotten crusty.

The stuff I used on his eyes that helped a lot with puffy redness is a .999 solution of colloidal silver. It is a liquid and looks just like water. She said that it was anti-bacterial and just felt like water when it when on. When I put it on the puffiness was down in a few minutes. I that sort off come back to were his eyes look watery and a little puffy but it hasn't gotten as bad as at first.

I will half to get some polysporin for his feet because I have noticed that one of his toes is bleeding.

We know someone that is in training at the UC Davis vet training hospital. It is on the list on the cite so it should be good. I am going to get my dad to E-mail her today for some immediate advice and information on who to call and stuff. The place is huge, it has like 30 different buildings, so we're kind of confused about who to call and where to go and all that.

Right now I am keeping him on alfalfa pellets. I had some that we were going to use for the tortoise, but then the tortoise got picked up. I will have to talk to my mom about keeping him on towels. I will need to find out how she will let me wash them. She is very concerned about salmonella and probably won't let me use the washing machine, but I will figure something out.

I am feeding him chicken on a bed of dandelion or mustard greens. I top that with some strawberries or raspberries or some other fruit that I find in the fridge. I feed him every third day with some crickets or superworms on the off days. For the chicken I bought a big family pack of chicken. I boiled it until it was cooked all the way through. Then I chopped it up pretty small and tossed in a bowl with some herpivite and Jurassic-cal. Then I froze it in feeding size portions. I am going to go to the supermarket soon for some new greens/squash. "

"It seems like Joey is a more extreme case of what Oliver has. His lips are a lot worse then Joeie's though and his eyes are a lot better. He has lots of energy and explores his cage and the outside world whenever he can. His toes seem about the same as Joeie's. I am going to start daily soakings. Also he has bubbles whenever he uses his tongue and seems slightly more slobbery then normal."

There you go. Like i said, I am getting my parents to take him the Davis vet ASAP.
