The heat lamp broke after just 1,5 month.....and Litchie seems to be shocked since hes sitting in an attack position behind the basking place and wheezed when i checked the lamp.
its about 20 degrees C inside the house, probably a tiny bit warmer. will he make a day with only the UV light, or i gotta rush to the store immediately( this will cost me 55 dollars today and 15 tomorrow)?
help - heat lamp broke

he got a 0.5cm piece of banana >.< its his treat day. i didnt see the lamp until after. Lets hope hes fine with 24 hours, because ill be rushing to the store tomorrow and then back.
thanks for the quick responce.
The train costs, the bus costs. I live in a small village and on normal weekdays my travel costs to the closest "city" are payed for by the government, but not on weekends. And once i quit school ill also have to pay fro adult train tickets....theyre twice the price of children tickets ( inhuman prices ).
As a sidenote, the expensive trains are always 3-20 mins late.

Ah, I though it might have been transport - I was thinking it was a bit odd that Sweden bumped up shop prices on the weekend
Urgh, late trains. We have have a bus service that is always at least 2 hours late :/
Im sure the banana would be fine. But if you are worried, you could possibly try one of your house globes temporarily? It would just mean a lot of tinkering though...

and now ill be a bad student since i gotta run to the store, in the opposite direction of the school.
ill buy a few lamps to keep them, like you said, just in case. Thanks for the advice.
This definitely does not make you a bad owner. I have run out of something before. I'm sure everyone has. It just helps to be prepared and stock up on supplies.

lol i've not managed to find a fixture that doesnt a) eat the bulbs and break them when you try and remove the dead ones, or b) just flat out shorts out after like 2 months! I hate that reptile companies are able to sell such crappy products. As a result, i've run out of uva/uvb bulbs, regular house bulbs, and even the dang fixtures! I have lots of extras now, but it doesnt make you a bad owner to run out. Its just an "oops" experience that you learn from.
