Oh the possibilities..... new to us enclosure

Postby smsararas2 » Sat Apr 30, 2011 1:50 pm

My wife had a huge score off Kijiji (a online classifieds in Canada)
She got us a Used 175 gallon aquarium for 65$ "Score"!!
it does have one crack in the bottom but easily fixed for reptile use.
it is 6ft long 18 inches wide and 24 inches tall.

I have been hinting to her that she should get her own BTS....that way she keeps her hands off my Hubert....er I mean that way we can share the BTS experience.

I would like to get a Northern or a Shingle, but its my wifes choice.
We are on a waiting list with Pink T. Monkey but I am unsure if she can wait...lol Hopefully she can cuase his Skinks come highly reccomended.

here are the new tank.

any cool ideas for set up? Things you have wanted to do but had no room?

Yeah I know she should keep her hands off your skink, I mean share the skink experience with you  . The only problem is that I dont think there are ANY shingles in canada and if there are any they cost a fortune. Good luck. :)

Golly my northern needs a tank that size! I would aim at a soaking bowl actually large enough for an adult along with a rock maze with wood and fake plants. Maybe even some sort of tunnel system with PVC (being that that is safe to use). You could get large PVC, cut it in half and make a tunnel around the bottom edge so you can see him cruise :)
