Yes the avatar worked, thanks :D
As for the scrambled eggs, oh yes, its definetly a fave of his. I don't know if its true or not but I read that if you cook the eggs on low heat, it helps reduce all the fat/cholestral. I m boiling some eggs today so perhaps he will enjoy those too. He's a good eater. Its weird, he is a completly different guy from when I got him. He used to never want to leave his cage, but now I can't get him to go in it. When I put him in he just sits with his face mushed on the door. Its so cute. I'll have to take a picture of him sometime for everyone. Where is a good place to get snails? ANd I did make alist of the foods on the caresheet. Oh and where do you find collard green, mustard greens, I have tried Safeway and Winco but have had no luck finding any green aside form BokChoy. Haha and yes that was my Skink on CL.

I usually find my collard greens at winco, they are over near the mushrooms. I haven't found mustard greens yet though. Good luck!

did you by chance get your skink from a lady in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area? If so, I got two skinks from her as well. At the time she had two northerns and 2 gigas skinks and I took the two gigas ones to send to Andrew in CA. She said the two northerns were rescues and that one had been housed with a savannah monitor and one had been housed with a prehensile tail skink.

Yes I sis Dragontears. My skink was the one who was housed with the monitor, its why he has a scar on his nose.

Small world, and it seems many BTS owners live in Oregon for some odd reason! When did you get your giagas Dragon?

Zach poisoned the water in Oregon; so now everyone wants blueys. Strange man in his world domination techniques, but hey...

...just in case there's thread-searchers, (and sound advice in general) egg is not a good staple food. Once in a while, maybe no more than once a week as a treat.

Egg being cooked at low temperatures will not reduce it's fat or cholesterol. It may change it in structure slightly, but the only way cooking can reduce fat in any food is if it's burnt off (turning to carbon) or it is removed physically (by dripping off, like on a barbecue).

If I have some particularly lean meat when I'm making Rollie his frozen "Meat Cubes," I'll mix in half a beaten egg per pound of meat. That gives it some flavor and some good smells, it seems.

Renee, did you see this northern housed with a monitor? :?

Kyle, I've read that cooking on high oxidizes the cholesterol making it much worse.

My guys get eggs once maybe twice a month. Sometimes it's raw, sometimes hardboiled and sometimes scrambled. If I scramble them I add the veggies/greens at the last minute so they mix in and are hard to pick out.

no, both northerns were housed with the monitor and PTS prior to the Hillsboro lady owning them.
