So i have some Calcium + D3 powder, back at start of year i bought a 85G tub and using it for 3 skinks once a week i have used a 10th or some other very insignificant amount, then in March i was at a reptile Expo and they had 500G for only $10 so i picked it up and have had it sitting in the cupboard.
Now apparnetly they are both meant to expire this month, powder looks identical to they day i bought it, what im wondering is does it actual expire say as milk does on the date or is it just a fake expire date like a can of soup has? shame to throw away about 570G of Calcium + D3 powder and unless i start to feed them scoops of it and nothing else theres no way i could get through this amount in 5 years.

You need more Skinks ! I don't pay any attention to the date on calcium , on vitamins I do .
But once opened I store them in the refrigerator , I don't know why just habit I guess .
I do use a ton of calcium every feeding , I over do it.

Oh i would love to get more skinks, would love a pair of shingles, centrals and westerns but unfortunately no room for more at current time, have an old rabbit in the backyard whos home is about 2x5meters though when it passes i will convert that to some outdoor enclosures for some more skinks.
I usually just sprinkle a layer of powder over the skinks food on Mondays.
