Hiding under her water dish?
So I was cleaning, spraying and rearranging my baby skinks enclosure and I have this big water rock dish. it has a indent on the bottom.. long story short after everything was said and done I went back to check on here and she happened to be burrowing underneath this big heavy thing! Regardless of the indent underneath I'm just concerned that she will get stuck or squished. Should I get a different dish? Or am I being a paranoid first time mom? I would greatly appreciate the input! I don't want to seize her from having fun or feeling secure anywhere I just don't know how safe this behavior is.

Try putting it on the bottom so there is no substrate under it, if you can.

Yes. That's what I had to do with mine. Perhaps he is just looking for a cooler spot, but it's natural for them to dig under rocks and such so if you have a heavy one, just place it directly at the bottom as suggested above.

Mine did same thing with his water dish and baskin tile so i put spacers under both and raised them up so he can burrow under without it fallin on him.Just bought some 2" spacers at home depot and super glue them to bottom. He luvs his new hides.
