Sleepy skinks?

Hey all!!

I was just wondering how active your blueys are when they are in their tanks?

It seems that Gary and Louie are generally just sleepy and don't want to explore their worlds unless we stir them up!! Is this natural??

Depends on bluey and yes it's natural.

It greatly depends on how hot it is....my skinks become more active when I dim down their lights for the evening. I think many BTS tend to be crepuscular in the wild due to the extreme heat of summer....

I see this behaviour perfectly normal.
Some days they will be sleeping and/or basking the whole day,
some days they will do more exploring and just layze about.
Depends on their mood and as Zach pointed out also on the heat.
But as you can tell every bluey is different

It seems normal, yes i know everyone has said that. My bluey seems to be more active when he is warm. During the day after he basks he can go all day, but at night when I lower his temp a little and turn off his light, he normally sleeps until late morning early afternoon the next day.

Yeah, it depends on the individual animal as well -- Slurpy tries to escape all day long and Sunny barely moves. It seems thet tamer animals are more active largely.....

I find the more you let them roam around outside the tank, the more they expect to come out, after a couple of days not being able to let mine out, he tends to give up pressing up against the glass and goes back to giving me the "what do you want "looks, give him a tickle and another chance out on bail ,and he returns to normal
